Very simply, this means you cannot be added to the list without your consent.
Once you have accepted, or joined on your own, you may find these suggestions helpful.
For those of you who, like me, are new to e-groups, here are a few
suggestions and observations.
You may want to print this page for future reference.
Postings to this group go out to all members automatically.
Once you have signed up, go to:
3. Click on the "edit" button to change any information.
4. Click "Finished" when your done.
Time now to explore!
There are links on the left side of the page to the
various areas of the group.
Once you are in a particular area--say database,
clicking on the help link under the blue area at the top of the
page will get you help for that particular area, along with a search
box where you can enter keywords for help.
I have found this to be a very user-friendly site. If you're new to
the web or this sort of thing, slide your mouse over a particular area,
when it turns to a hand with a pointing finger, that means you can
click and bring up another page. There are lots or possibilities here--lets use them!
One word of caution, once you get into the "HELP" section, you will have to use the
back button on your browser to get to the main pages, otherwise you
will wander around in help forever! (Anyone old enough to remember the
Kingston Trio "riding forever 'neath the streets of Boston"?
This is a great place to contact other pilot car drivers, some heavy haul companies,
and in general, to pass around information of benefit to us all.
You can add your favorite links, upload files of interest to all, post your
availability for a load, chat with other drivers if you are there when they are.
Listing or space on this site is provided as a courtesy by Professional Pilot Car
who is not responsible for any transactions
between the pilot car company and the trucking company.
